@purepolarisquads Because the original STI came with a 2.0 and most people would put a 2.2L stroker kit in it.

One would assume because Wakefield Park is in Australia, where the ~2002 WRX STi was not 2.5 litres. 2.5 litre WRXs were an American phenomenon for the most part.
