Do you remember where you got the Alicia-chow picture where their are hugging and he's apparently comforting her at the Olympics? I've never seen that before!

@meangirlbecca it's pretty normal in Russia. You'll also see that a lot of the Russian girls (IIRC especially at the 96 Olys) kissed each other on the lips. It's considered nothing incommon of weird for people who are really close, like best friends or daughter/father.

nice montage, would have been better if you included some pics of Mary Lee Tracy and her athletes, or Kelli Hill, they always had such great relationships with their girls. And I agree, little too much Shawn and Nastia.

It might be a cultural thing, but I think that sometimes it just happens. I accidentally kissed my mom on the lips not too long ago, and it was momentarily awkward. I'm sure it's happened with my dad too. When it's supposed to be a quick peck on the cheek, it's easy to miss and have it be a little awkward!

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I've noticed a lot of these scenes in the games. But I just don't get how Liukin and her dad can kiss on the lips. I understand that happened with little girls, but for a grown woman like her .... and even though that's her dad. eh .... not so comfortable. Is that a Russian culture or something? But it's too cute that Liukin's dad is always there for her and show his support. He cares about his daughter's success a lot. He's a loving and caring dad.
