I had a friend and her mother (along with some other family members) attend this apparition, and I am writing to attest that miracles DID happen with this apparition. Outside some small remarkable instances at the site, but my friend's mother was completely cured of liver cancer after she was only given a six month life expectancy a few weeks prior. I have some amazing and unexplained (other than Divine Intervention) photos and stories shared to me from that day!

In the video about the beginning of this carving in Italy, "Marble Sculpture Madonna and Child Pietrasanta", there is a clip of a priest blessing the sculpture. In Italian he says the statue is not important, it is what (or who) it reminds us of. That clarifies the Church's position that created things should not be worshiped. Art may be used as ( a sacramental) an aid to prayer and meditation.
