Your dragon is old enough to have sand as his substrate. When they are very young they are not suppose to have sand. You are fine but cage is kinda small. Good Luck with ur beardie.
Beardies orginate from the deserts of Australia, they lounge in low branches but eat on the ground ! I've had customers with Beardies for 8 or nine years that have fed him on the ground with crickets and fruit, and i'm well aware of the calcium powder and vitamins, but the people I know have never had a single problem with their beardies, so i'm not about to change what I tell people.
The powdered calcium AND vitamins [you should be using both] are extremely fine powders.. The sand you're using is tiny crystals which are heavier than powder. The sand will build up inside of your dragon's stomach and turn into a little ball of concrete.. Signs of impaction are lethargy, lack of appetite and he/she won't go to the bathroom or may have troubles doing so... Please take him/her to the vet for a checkup to see if your dragon doesn't have a build up of sand.
Loved your vid, Loved LOTR, but that beardie is way too happy eating for that song. :)
