These songs are similar for about 5 seconds at the beginning. After that, Sprawl detours fairly significantly.

Both are great catchy songs whose
Progression's are based on the major triad,
i simply prefer the melody and lyrics sprawl 2 provides for me.
both also have that 80's electro-pop feel good vibe.

comparing Apples and Oranges guys. And in reference--indie to mainstream, Arcade Fire has kept their integrity after their success. Let me pose a question, In whatever artistic endeavor you have chosen, wouldn't you want more people to experience your expression. Arcade Fire does not need to have hit singles. Top 40 does not mean artistic accomplishment.

Only thing ive heard of from AF is Sprawl and sadly after an indie band went, dare I say it Mainstream.
