Yamaha displayed their FZ1 Fazer at the 2008 Tokyo Motorcycle Show. Designed to have the versatility of four motorcycles in one, a sports bike, a weekday commuter, a tourer and evening cruiser, the FZ1 Fazer is based on the powerful YZF-R1 engine to handle a variety of riding situations. The FZ1 Fazer has a 1,000 cc engine similar to the YZF-R1 but with a different compression ratio and modifications to the cam profile and crank inertial mass, improving power and handling. Along with these improvements, the design is balanced to increase rear wheel drive force to improve acceleration. Unlike the FZ1 the Fazer has a wind shield which cuts the wind chill factor experienced while speeding down the road. With the half cowl and sleek design, the FZ1 Fazer is designed for the fashionable rider and was released in Japan in February this year.

I bought an 06 with 3000 miles. Let me tell U this bike rocks. And this bike loves mods. Go to ebay and type FZ1 youll get about 15 pages of stuff. Great bike, insurance is fair. And it has the potential to get U thrown in jail in 7 seconds.

btw, Fazer weighs 5 kg more

FZ1 Fazer and FZ1 are almost same bikes. Fazer has bigger top speed because of better aerodynamics
