  • Movies are more fun when you dont analyse them

  • wow they got one roman name right, culigulaminis

  • @anarion508 No, TV kinda brought a lot of that to a standard.

  • @RetroToledo i dont know when i was a kid all the cartoons were like that, they didnt have the technology of today, so it didnt seem mutch of a problem ;P

  • the name is kinda diffrent

  • @twilightwindwaker This first movie certainly has it's problems (simplified character designs, cycled and repeated limited animation, etc).

  • @Kan2209

Ok...... I'll take that as a nil

  • @sackwhacker 75. Million.

  • @Kan2209

How many Asterix books/movies have you viewed?

  • @Kan2209 uhh no.

  • They have the names all wrong, it's Asterisk and Obelisk.

  • Marcus Sourpuss? What kind of name is that? Oh my my my here comes stop the musics! Even though Obelisk sounds like Goofy it's kind of funny. They forge weapons with their bare hands? Wouldn't their hands get burnt? The potion makes them super strong but not impervious to pain. Gauls don't use tools.

  • 0:48 look at their noses LOL .

  • @Cakegolem hmmm.. makes sense, i guess...

  • @redbaddevil

From Wikipedia: In the English version of the film, many of the characters' names are inconsistent with those used in the rest of the series and books. Getafix is named Panoramix, Vitalstatistix is named Tonabrix and the bard Cacofonix is named Stopthemusix. This was due to the film being dubbed into English before the books were translated.

  • Its vitalstatistix and cacofonix... why are all the names wrong?

  • "Barbarians, they cant appreciate my art".

LOL that line makes me laugh for some reason.

  • Mission accomplished. Ha Ha Ha. Also, the Romans should of remove a chair every time a person lost until one chair was left.

  • LOL! But really, of course there are women and girls in the vilage, even if we don't get to see them in this movie. Except for Asterix, Obelix, Getafix and Cacaphonix, most men in the village are married (and before you wonder, Asterix and (especially) Obelix have been shown to like girls, even if they're not seriously involved with anybody).

  • Why aren't there any girls in that village? Maybe Asterix and company are village people in more ways than one.

  • @MetalSurge879 in English he is called Getafix, but in French Panoramix.

  • I love Asterix and Obelix. I remember watching this show all the time when I was a kid.

  • @MetalSurge879 The movie had diffrent translators. Actually Panoramix is his name in oryginal france version

  • Why in the opening scene it said Getafix but is called Panoramix???

  • That's interesting. I didn't know about there being different "Asterix" translations in English. I think we only have one translation in Swedish, but I'm not sure.
