UK ( Welsh ) band who released a string of singles in the late 60`s
1966 That's the End
1966 (You're Gonna) Hurt Yourself
1966 My Love - Come Home
1967 98.6
1967 Royal Blue Summer Sunshine Day
1967 Pattern People
1968 When Jesamine Goes
1968 This Is My World

When Jesamine Goes was released in Feb 1968 Pye made a poor job of promoting the single and it failed to chart. As it was an obvious hit it was picked up by The Casuals who released it in August 1968. It became a Worldwide hit for them .

  • This song is delicious

  • @45rpmSINGLES What position reached in UK and US?

  • I've whistled and sang this song in every frre moment today... so many precious memories and such a wonderful tune. I love the casuals version... but this just seems to hit the mark for me, my mind and I this evening.

It evokes Brutus Jeans and shirts... cigarette and chocolate vending machines... and bizarrely candy-floss!! Fairground days and great music : ))

  • @bigowl9408 same with me

  • Peter Held hat dieses Stück auch auf deutsch gesungen "Das Mädchen vom Strand".....leider kann ich es nirgends finden. Vielleicht hat es ja irgendjemand und kann es hochladen. Schon einmal vielen Dank!!!!!!
