Let's Play Animal Crossing: Chester gets laid off in 25 minutes

Chester moves to the town of Tilwick and gets a job. But it doesn't even last a half hour before he gets laid off, still owing over 18,000 bells on his house. Is it a recession?

Nintendo released Animal Crossing: City Folk for Wii a month ago. I wanted to make a "Let's Play" style video of the game's first hour, but YouTube has a limit of just under 11 minutes, so I cut out the boring parts. At the upper right corner, I've added the elapsed time it took to complete the game's tutorial mission, totaling 34 minutes. I've also added a commentary track from the point of view of my character.

I never played City Folk, but I loved the GCN and DS versions. I still find it hilarious that you knock on your own house door before going in.

@shadowfax273k If you've played the DS version, you've pretty much played City Folk. City Folk is just the DS version with some of the random visitors (Gracie, Shrunk, Redd, etc.) moved to a strip mall that the player can access by calling a bus.

@BeNotNormal As I understand it, it's an "anatomical model" of an upright hominin, part of a classroom set. But its head is far smaller than that of a player character. So either A. it's not the same species as the player character humans, or B. Chester's been eating too many Pop-Tarts again.

@tepples Chester's. It's just a really random let's play. Like rather than say like "Okay, now I gotta go talk to all the neighbors", you just make like jokes. They're not bad jokes, it's just a weird way of doing a LP. And why don't you just use your real voice? And also, why not just make more parts, instead of fitting it in 11 minutes?
