CB Progress 13: Slightly Different

I'm done for the day, I had four hours to spare to work on this and this is all I could do. Why the change of direction in the project? read the following:

Obviously altered the text, but mostly went back and rewrote my crappy code to work better and, well actually work (no clue what I was trying to do before, but nothing you see in this video worked), which is why it took me hours. The code is getting too long, cluttered, and unorganized, and it's hard to work with.

I still think that with the skills you put into making this, you could have hacked the actual Red/Blue ROM instead.

@TheInunah The skills I have to make this are as relevant to ROM hacking as building a fire is to building a computer. I wish people knew how far apart homebrew and ROM hacking is in terms of relevance, at least in the level of skill I personally have.

@dabr1dg3 FINALLY i understand the difference between the two. in homebrew, you actually code, right? and in romhack, you just use tools, right?

I like it how you made the ghost have a personality, and actual talk to its owner, makes things more understandable, and overall a better story.

Trainers being able to react to actually seeing the ghost and saying things like "what the hell is that thing?" is the cherry on the top, keep on the good work.

Well you know what, I tried to remake a game before with hacking tools but I didn't go too far. I don't hack anymore cuz I think it's illegal. Anyways, what I'm saying is, you've worked a hell of a lot! And you know what? I think you're a pro! You're good at making games! Everyone should be proud! *Clap*. Dude, don't worry about it. No matter if you finish it or not. Without you, I have no idea where I'd look for any game play of it! GOOD JOB!

@LuisReefTank It kinda kills the authenticity though... <_< And Also, I did notice some changes from the original story (Which I personally do believe- I've seen hacked Pokemon cartridge games that have never been heard of before, like a Chinese (I'm PRETTY sure it wasn't Japanese) version of blue where Blastoise was a legendary Pokemon, not unlike modern Pokemon game mascots. I think there is some validity to the story, even if it isn't true...
