This was the RNAV (GPS) 22R approach at Little Rock. The ceiling was reported as 500 ovc, but it turned out to be 300 ovc and 3/4 sm visibility.... not the 5 sm of visibility reported.

  • That is incorrect sir. LIFR is the correct descriptor. LIFR stands for Low IFR. LIFR describes the ceiling and visibility limits, just as MVFR, VFR, and IFR do. Reference the P/C glossary, IPH, and IFH.

  • may want to consider turning off the FD if you want to hand fly, I notice here you didnt put in approach mode so your V-bars never joined the GP.

Nice video, what kind of camera ?

  • NO WAY that's 3/4 mile vis ....

I'd estimate it's between 1 to 2 miles, and probably closer to 2.

  • Good landing

  • What kind of plane is that?

  • I've got an IFR rating for 9mnths now and I havent done this...

Very nice id by the way - cant wait.

  • a view that only birds and pilots can see... every day

  • Awesome vid!
