As for that "first" nonsense, please remember....in 1908, they thought they were the best but our 22 Founders wouldnt settle for less....In 1913 we aspired to something greater and THEIR PRESIDENT walked out and founded DELTA SIGMA THETA...if they were weak we wouldve settled too... we couldve skee-wee'd but we *CHOSE* to OOO-OOP!

That "first" mess kills me. That's like quitting your job for a BETTER job and your old boss saying "but you worked here first!" Who cares?

@nshowell9047 Let's be real, no black woman or man had any power to stop lynchings or change the fact that women were to be seen and not heard in 1913. Not even Madam CJ Walker. You had a group of women that wanted to take the AKAs in a different direction-against the founding principles and the membership objected. I don't understand all the hating. AKAs have unique qualities and so do Deltas. Stay true to who you are and love and respect the other... History is history and cannot be changed.

It doesn't matter who was incorporated before who. As African-American frats/sororities, we should all stick together and form a bond based off of that all in itself. So please, stop the competition. Blacks should stand side by side... whether you crossed Zeta, delta, s g rho, aka... or whatever the case may be, IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!!

I know im a little late but i feel that you guys need to stop this. I know that each sorority is supposed to have its own identity, stance, etc. You guys are forgetting that DST and AKA have been around for a long time. Of course a few details and lines will be blurred. I am strongly considering pledging, &as someone who doesnt know much about DST, you guys are not conveying the right image of what DST really is about. Regardless of what sorority you are, you should have respect for each other.
