Oh shut up you pretentious twit. Mad Men aspires to capture the 60s era. Sean Connery's Bond WAS the 60s. How can something that merely imitates an epoch possibly measure up to that which completely and utterly defined it?

Calm down. All I'm saying is Mad Men is a great show and it's not like this song was from Honey Boo Boo and a bunch of hicks are coming over and claiming this song their own. How is Mad Men an imitation of the 60s? The show is not an imitation, it's a retrospect - an effective and masterfully created one. Also: If you think "You Only Live Twice" defined a decade in film, let alone in the entirety of culture, you're the twit.

yeah, no show can recapture this, maybe emulate ...which they say is the best flattery however to those that havent see the original 007 films as I did on the big screen ..I havent even see this Mad Men series...probably wont either in spite of the nice TVs I have. That and the Kardahsians are the big time wasters in my book

Octopussy's theme was "All Time High." I defy anyone to write lyrics that rhyme with Octopussy.

@ Sushilll: oh yeah. And that's why they continued making more throughout the decades. Fuck you they are still entertaining. Each of them have something about that's likable ....except Die Another Die. Movies more like a parity of Bond film then actual Bond film. That movie can go die and burn in hell forever.

I was watching some long special about the Bond themes once, and when they came to "You Only Live Twice", Nancy Sinatra had trouble pleasing John Barry with her singing. It was finally decided to patch together different takes, so as to make one 'song'
