For all you idiots, he calls it Southern Carolina because of how they tried to sue USC, or Southern Cal, for the rights to sell USC merch. He is a lot smarter than you....mans game, Rack It.

@baronvg Has nothing to do with the "USC" logo, which was agreed on many years ago, early 80's, I think. The southern cal crying and whining began when South Carolina attempted to register the "SC" logo and cal opposed because they claimed it was "too similar" (plus the fact that so cal is the biggest drama queens who ever lived) Not to mention South Carolina's logo looks a million times better. Funny though, 16 other schools also use the "SC"... just more prima donna bitching from the cal girls

As I said, the "Jim Rome related facts". This conversation is all stemming from Jim Rome's joke about how South Carolina was trying to rip off/usurp Southern Cal for the name "USC" which he brought up on his radio show years ago. I couldn't care less who registered what, when and where and who has the right to the name. South Carolina can have the name. I'm sure Southern Cal can squeak by with the little they have like, oh...their history, tradition, Heisman Trophy winners, and championships.
