I heard this was a student project that matured into a complete game when the developers were hired by VALVe.

ND gets crazy since you can shoot portals through portals...makes it fun. In Valve's Portal, you can't really shoot a portal thorugh a portal. (except the glitch, but it's totally different)

*cough* Half-Life.
Also, the gameplay is rather different keeping the portal and physics elements the same.

This game is so good made it doesnt have any bugs! *with me* i never got outside the map bye the portals
i first played ND and thought hey this looks fun! :D but then i saw valve release the orange box with portal in it and i was like WTF got to have it!!!! xD Btw nice vid, nuttin spectacular
