"Home" ~ Return to OZ

I dunno why the song is so choppy. Each and every one I downloaded was worse and worse. Ah well. :P

When I was little, I always doubted Dorothy truly wanted to go home, (not only because I wouldn't) because why would she want to return to an aunt and uncle that wanted her in the nut house? :P

I'm surprised no one made one like this yet. Return to OZ is one of my all-time favorite films; was never scared of it like most children. :D

Shame you disabled ratings, this would definitely get five stars. I love the film, and the song. It's much darker than the Judy Garland version of Oz, but that isn't a bad thing. The books were darker too.

(And I completely agree with what you said about Dorothy! I'm not so sure about her wanting to leave again either.)

I dunno why I took it off, but I changed it. :D The books were dark, yes, but they were also very happy at times. Which probably made it even darker when the dark stuff happened.

And yeah, I always felt that way as a kid - luckily she does finally move to OZ in the last book. :D

Many of the characters and ideas of this movie came from the second and third books of the Oz series by L. Frank Baum. The Oz books, which were written between 1900 and 1920 were awesome, and it's a shame that so few people today have read them.
