10:10 mini-movie - No Pressure

The 10:10 campaign group self destructs with this violent and supposedly amusing video. They pulled the video after realising what a mistake it was so here it is again in all it's gory detail!

True comedy gets you to think.

This got me thinking until I found out it was not true comedy. Looks like the writers and producers have missed their calling.

If they understood irony they would know what I mean. Losers all.

Look at all the gullible suckers who are so easily deluded by fossil fuel industry propaganda that they think this video is meant as a literal threat of mass murder for those who resist saving energy. If they were going to really do this, do you think they would let you know in advance with an ad depicting the murders? Lesson learned, comedy is hard, and must be thought through carefully.

What the heck? It's pretty hard to see what the comic angle was supposed to be.

It's usually not a good idea to portray the side you are on as cold blooded murderers!

Perhaps the idea was that climate change could kill a lot of people, but this is just not thought through. The idea of promoters of energy savings killing people who don't help out is pretty horrific and really undermines the point of the campaign.

And it feeds the paranoid fantasies put out by the fossil fuel industry.
