I think what I like best about this cut is its unabashedly upbeat quality; a rarity for this usually bittersweet band's output...At first I found "Weirdo" too "rock" like most of the side it was released on [remember this was vinyl we're talking about] but it's grown on me over the years. Fine work!

Side 1 of the lp is my favorite by them.
In comparison, and in spite of the inclusion of BLT (a masterpiece of a song) side 2 bizarrely fails IMO
