"Things I Must Tell The Children" By Bill & Gloria Gaither

This is from the 70s. I love this because it shows that no matter how legendary they are, even though they have changed the face of christian music forever, they are still normal people with normal worries and problems like everyone. I also think any parent will especially be touched by this.

Today my daughter was sitting in front of me, crying about how overwhelming life has become. Through sobs she told me she was ready to give in and eventhough she prays she feels alone. I opened my bible and said, "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death..." As I read the passage her mood brightened and she told me that has popped in her head. If I hadnt told her of Him growing up she would have never known this Scripture and of His love. I will continue telling my children...

The words Gloria jsu spoke are exactly what I have been telling my grown children these days, to make sure they tell their kids about God, there`s nothing more important in this world, they have to know about God, our goal in this world is to leave it behind and be with God. how will they make it with out hearing it?
