yup. I another victim of laser vision surgery. I was NEVER warned that i was a very risky candidate. I lost my career as a result of greedy, unethical surgeon. Don't risk you eyes for the sake of vanity. Two years of hell and thousands of dollars later and I still suffer every day.

I love how this asshole wears glasses... if he believes in his precious Lasik so much why doesn't he have it done himself? Oh yea that's right...

I had Lasik. I don't recommend it. You can't get back the money you lose, the time lost with your children or the vision you used to have. My doctor diagnosed infection and glaucoma as dry eye and told me to use more eye drops. After not being able to see clearly for 10 months I am still considered a successful outcome at their clinic because I no longer wear glasses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have done lasik in year 2000, and my vision is still 20/20. I went from -5,00 to perfect vision. But my nightvision was realy crappy the first 5 years or so ,but its a bit better now ,though i still se halos and starburst at nighttime, but not as intense as before.. Only drawback is that my pupils are freaking huge, look like i am on cocain 24/7..Never had any troubles with pain,or dry eyes,so overall im very pleased and not regreting that i had it done..But maybe i was just lucky who knows :)

Thanks for posting this.
Personally, I just can't buy into Lasik. When someone is blasting a laser beam in your eye, there isn't really a lot of room for "whoops!"...
I'll stick with contacts, as I have for 20 years now, keeping the cases cleaned and the lenses replaced. I prefer my optic nerves unsinged.

Sorry to hear neither of these things helped for you. Dry eye pain is really horrible. On my LASIK surgeon and warnings - I don't remember specifically about the tear duct plugs, but I was warned about dry eyes, halos, shadowing. I just thought it wouldn't happen to me. I also was given a lengthy sheet of possible side effects which was so long that the amount of information was overwhelming. But I don't remember seeing percentages on how often these side effects occur -would have been useful.
Well is not everyone is different? I'd like to know the condition of patients who failed the surgery before entering it. Pardon if I'm wrong, but now a days don't they tell you whether or not you are a good candidate for lasik? For example, if you have a special eye problem and the risks are too high a surgeon won't recommend it? I'm trying to do research on both sides, because I was born with bad vision and was considering lasik sometime this year.

@RemarkablyMark I suggest you visit my website which is shown on my channel. My site documents universal adverse effects and long term consequences of LASIK. Bottom line, LASIK is a harmful surgery and should not be performed. There is an abundance of evidence to support Dr. Waxler's position -- people considering LASIK need to take the time to research it before consenting to this unnecessary, irreversible surgery.

"95% of LASIK patients are satisfied" is nothing more than a deceptive soundbite which originated from deep inside the LASIK industry money machine. Google "the truth behind LASIK satisfaction" or search for it on lasiknewswire(.)com. Learn more about the LASIK scam at my website which can be found on my channel.
