  • I'm an Aircraft Technician in the Royal Australian Air Force, work on AP-3C Orion's, busy job you are always working very hard especially on deployments! Avionics (electricians) get it easy compared to blackhanders (mechanics)

  • @toddwaite im an aircraft maintainer.... crew chief on the c5's.

yep def hardest working and most fucked over job there is in the air force.

but on the other hand i get to work out side, get to work on jets and feel more apart

of the air force then some boozo in finance.

but i think i still would want to be that boozo in finance... mon-friday. 7 to 4.

hi. we dont put 60s on heavies. mostly just for fighters. but have a good time working the line without AGE.

  • A C-17 has touched down on the flightline? I guess they don't use runways?

I'm sorry, but AGE really ain't that valuable either. The -86 isn't the only generator that can supply "the right amount of power"-can you say -60? Oh, I forgot about the motor generator too-115 VAC 400 Hz.

I was AGE, and this report was silly at best. I'm getting cynical at my old AGE.

Best as in Easiest?... any desk job.

Best as in Most Rewarding?... Definitely an Enlisted Flightcrew job or Sensor Operator.

Hardest Working and Most F'd Over?... Aircraft Maintainers.

  • @aptxxxtimmy im not in the service but i'd say any aviation job in my opinion

  • what would you say is the best enlisted job in the af?

  • my dad work there but it was fun there had good friends and knew the place pretty well stayed there for 3 years small base but no traffic lights just signs that said Dur(means stop in Turkish) which was confusing when we first got there but other then that it was pretty fun with all to do around there which was quite a lot

  • I'm going there soon on deployment. Anyone who's been there beofre have any insight on what its like or what to expect?

  • Some good drinking there when I was deployed for ONW.
