From September through April you can pet my ragdoll Pixel and you will not end up with any hair on your hand. Can't say the same in the warm season when he is losing his winter coat. He loves a regular brushing and sheds a heck of a lot less than the ordinary short haired cat that puts out a cloud of hair year round when petted. If pet hair freaks you out, you should not own a pet. Period.

@freddyphredphred hello,yes we did get a ragdoll,we purchased him last December and so we have had him for 1 year and we LOVE him. When he was a kitten he never shed any hair (which I was told was the way it is for almost all cats)...but about 5-6 months into life he REALLY started to shed...like crazy. It has driven me crazy...but we love him so we keep A LOT of lint rollers in the house and car. I also vaccum a lot as well to keep the hair down. Good luck..let me know if I can help in any way.

HARTZ is the devil. I bought some fleas solution from a vet and it gave my ragdoll cat a toxic shock.

i heard ragdoll cats shed less than other cats. how much do they really shed? like when they rub against your leg is there a layer of hair stuck to your pants like a tabby cat? cause i really want a cat but we used to have a tabby cat and my dad went crazy with the hair.
