Clipless Topple

http://www.spdshoes.org I think this was still the first or second year I was riding SPD shoes/pedals, so we'll put this down to inexperience. My friend Zoli just happened to start filming me heading for the ferryboat that you can see in the background. I must have been going about 0.5km an hour. Actually, that was just it - I was going too slowly, hit a big bump and just went over. Much to the amusement of Zoli - shame he just missed the beginning. By the way, this is one of only a couple of "accidents" I can really attribute to being clipped in, and all the others were at slow speeds too - it's just not as dangerous as it feels. Far better to be clipped in than not. If you are still wavering about going SPD - don't, just go for it! You'll never look back!
