Binghamton University Athlete of the Week - Jason Chen (Swimming and Diving)

Jason Chen had a record-breaking weekend for the Binghamton Bearcats as they competed in two meets in two days. Against the 18th ranked (CSCAA Mid-Major Poll) St. Bonaventure Bonnies, Chen won the 200 free with a time of 1:43.97. The next day, versus Colgate he won the 100 free in a time of 47.80 on BU Senior Day. During his last meet at the Patricia A. Saunders Aquatic Center, Chen set a new pool record in the 200 IM. He broke the record set by BU great Brenno Varanda with a time of 1:53.03. Chen and the seniors went out as winners, defeating Colgate 166-111.
