I have no connections to Turkishness, but I hear a lot of this kind of traditional music on Turkish State Radio over the 'Net ... but damn, it's impressive to see that kind of performance live and without the benefit of post-recording enhancement.

I am not offended. Greeks settled to Anatolia were mostly elites to govern some region, I do not deny their existence, but their numbers weren't enough to change Anatolians ethnically. But this is also true for Turkics too, they did not make ethnical difference the Turkification of Anaolia is a cultural process, which was a policy of Seljuks, who seek a way to unite anatolia under a nation, and succeeded.
