Santa Cruz is located just south of San Francisco, less than 2 hours by car. It's a great place to spend the day away from the hectic Bay Area traffic and commotion. The beach is warm in the summers and mild in the winters, with steady traffic year round. The Beach Boardwalk is a famous attraction in Santa Cruz, with great amusement park rides and games for children and adults of all ages. Caramel apple and funnel cakes are some popular treats offered at the many concessions. A covered arcade, which features laser tag games, is offered year round.
