  • Sorry to say it, but you didn't invent anything. They have been making units like this for quite some time

  • Please point me to a machine like that then. The multirouter is a very different machine.

  • Awesome idea.... how do i get 1???

  • Can you make a pattern that makes pantorouters?

  • but why aren't you producing machines in metal and patented?, they are specialized stuff and very smart in how they are made and working, keep in mind there are sharks catching good ideas like yours, just in case you want to make a tools line, congrats

  • You just don't get it.

The invention isn't that it cuts wood, it's how it guides the router. There isn't another machine that uses a pantograph and scaled templates to cut joinery.

  • @Matthiaswandel That is relevant. They both accomplish the same thing, just at different ratios. The underlying theory is the same

You are using a guide to follow a pattern to cut a shape in a piece of wood.

What do the ones I showed you do?

they are using a guide to follow a pattern to cut a shape in a piece of wood.

Ergo, they are the same except for the ration between the guide and the cutter.

All you did was change the ratio, that's it an improvement on an existing design.

  • Holy S... This is absolutely fantastic. Im more a "classic" wood worker, using pencils, cutters and hammers. This would take me hours to do. I wont switch to something like that, cause I like the old method. But this is a great, great machine.

  • Those all copy 1:1. Quite different from my machine.

Please, if you insist that it's been done before, give a relevant example.

  • @Matthiaswandel Great idea, it works exactly like the copy devices one example is the key copy machine.

  • Wow, How great is this!!! /// @zugzub..I would love to see a commercial version. I don't think they exist. Please post if you see one.

    Great Job Matthias
