This was a walk through the City of Düsseldorf on a sunny Sunday in January. It was pretty cold and I was looking for noises that were not quite obvious. Most of them were to be found in hidden mechanics of displays. But the most impressive one was the expansion joint of a little bridge where the cars are passing by. The sounds were going to be recorded on a small loop-recorder and were layering one after another to get richer by the time. Finally they became a special kind of noise. During the walk the looped noises were amplified to interfere with the surrounding noises. This is the counterpart of the performance "summer of sound" and is also inspired by the work of Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller.
