The medication dexedrine has the active ingredient dextroamphetamine, it does not at all contain methamphetamine!!!!

Methamphetamine is a completly different chemical. Methamphetamine is NOT dextroamphetamine!!!

Methamphetamine is a much stronger amphetamine than dextroamphetamine.

The medication Adderall ( can't get it in the UK) contains both dextroamphetamine and methamphetamine. This is probably where you're getting confused.

METHAMPHETAMINE on the other hand is sold under the brand name Desoxyn. In conclusion: Dexedrine is not and DOES NOT contain methamphetamine.

Methamphetamine has a methyl group attached to its amine group. dexy however is an amphetamine without an alkyl group attached to the amine. it is called dextro-amphetamine, because it is the dextro as opposed to the racemic or levo isomer, of amphetmine. go to a library look for a physicians desk reference and look dextroamphetamine and methamphetamine. they are similar chemically, but not the same.

Adderall contains both dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine. It doesn't contain meth. Levoamphetamine is an left-rotary enantiomere of amphetamine. A molecule of L-amphetamine looks like a mirrored molecule of D-amphetamine. D-AMP is about 3 times more potent than L-AMP having the same amount of side effects. L-AMP was added to avoid excessive sleepiness often caused by D-AMP in people with ADHD
