Cary Brothers "Who You Are"
(Procrastination Records / bluhammock music; May 29, 2007)

VIDEO FOR "WHO YOU ARE"
Here is the video for the title track of the debut album Who You Are from Cary Brothers. Yahoo! Music premiered the "John Hughes" minded video that brings you back into those sweet highschool memories!

Cary wrote the treatment for the video himself, and the shoot caused him a broken foot, ouch!, but he continued to finish the full video. His close friends are are actors in the video, including Jim Bianco, Tim Jones and Chad Cunningham (Pink Enemy) and his girlfriend, Sarah Jones who's currently in HBO's "Big Love". The extras are all volunteers who were recruited through Cary's MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/carybrothers

In the fair city of Los Angeles, nestled among its movie studios and fault lines, lies Cary Brothers (first name Cary, last name Brothers). Cary's debut album, Who You Are, is an impassioned, charm-laced collection of his trademark blend of dreamy pop songs. His beautifully full-bodied music glows with a serene contentment -- a genuine, down-home allure. Who You Are is a delight from start to finish, marked by Cary's intimate, heartfelt vocals, clever melodies and astute lyrics.

Despite the fact that this is only his first full-length, Cary Brothers' songs have already appeared on the NBC sitcom Scrubs, the FOX mystery Bones, WB's Smallville, and the successful medical dramas Grey's Anatomy and ER. Brothers' lyrical ballad "Blue Eyes" was featured on the platinum-selling, Grammy-winning soundtrack to the hit indie film Garden State. And, this past summer, Brothers' song "Ride" (which can also be found on Who You Are) appeared on the soundtrack to the feature film The Last Kiss, starring Zach Braff, Rachel Bilson and Casey Affleck. Brothers has also performed on the The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Scrubs.

It's also worth noting that Cary Brothers is a founder of the Hotel Café Tour - its humble roots derived from a close-knit family of local talent who embody the spirit of The Hotel Café venue in Hollywood, CA. Cary found his musical voice playing regularly as part of this talented musical coterie, and has since brought his tremendous live show across North America, touring with the likes of Liz Phair, KT Tunstall, Aqualung, Imogen Heap and The Fray. He's also made an amazing video for "Who You Are" directed by Phil Harder, whose credits include Sonic Youth, Prince, and Foo Fighters -- look for it soon!

Be sure to check Cary out when he comes to a town near you!

"(Brothers is) one of the emerging acoustic talents in Los Angeles... If he'd been old enough in the late '60s, he probably would've grabbed a few rounds with a young David Crosby or shared a smoke with Joni Mitchell after an appearance together at a local coffeehouse..." - Billboard

  • Cary Brothers I do indeed adore you!

  • I was in this music video as one of the extras at the dance. More fun than my real prom.

  • @IdRatherBinADream92 its really good if you want to watch the episodes you can find them all online...it's kinda family oriented but if you are a teen-mid 20s you'll probably like it.

  • @IdRatherBinADream92 its long to explain might wanna check it out on IMDB but basically a teenager who was developed in a lab was cloned and left in a womblike chamber for 16 years and has superhuman and ultra intelligent characteristics. i think the theory or concept is your brain develops rapidly and best when in the womb and they say albert einstein and tesla and all these fathers of modern science were overdeveloped babies in their mothers womb so scientists did this for a clone in a lab.

  • @tune5k What is that show about?
