Here is a killer fly on rainbows. It's been whacking them like crazy for the last few months. I have been fishing some very heavily pressured fish and it has been deadly.

  • This is very similar to the "Frenchie" pattern.

  • On the Colorado River at Lees Ferry thee is an orange bead head small streamer in green. It is true that this fly too never works on the Green River for Browns.. I think you are onto something with the orange beads for rainbow waters. Leave the bead off and it catches browns. Or change it to copper bead head maybe? Browns love copper right?

  • Ever use it on steelhead?...nice tie

  • Looks like a winner. Going to give it a try on the rainbows in the Pine and Kettle. Can you tell us where to get that flat lead? Thanks in advance.

  • aaron do you have a website for jan seaman or however you spell it. thanks man great tie again.....

  • In England we call it a buzzer variation,we also use different ribbings such as holo tinsels in various colours great all round fly pattern
