This gait pattern is VERY hard on the knees. You'll use them right up! In this demonstration, the leg is bent while receiving the load of the body and travels down before traveling back up. This pattern uses the quadriceps unnecessarily and causes higher amounts of friction in the knee joint. It is also an indication of weak lateral thigh and posterior muscles.
