This presentation was the concluding section of our 43rd "Do You Know Tasmania" show presented in November 2006, and takes you on a journey around some of Tasmania's spectacular wilderness areas that are not yet protected, but just as worthy of protection as our World Heritage areas. The majority of images were taken by wilderness photographer and club member Matt Brain. More of Matt's images can be viewed on his website http://www.irenabyss.com.au Many of the images are now available in book form published by Penguin. More information here - http://www.endangeredtasmania.org/
"A visually stunning publication highlighting unprotected areas throughout Tasmania, many of which are under immediate threat from logging, mining and similar developments, including the Tamar Valley pulp mill.
Containing 110 photographs by more than twenty of Australia's best wilderness photographers, Endangered is an urgent and moving call to save what is left of these magnificent places."

  • Spectacular, truly beautiful. Great footage.

  • It's really a good video .. I like the shots a lot ... Thank you for sharing from big fan of Tasmanian Landscape

  • Such beautiful photography and a very well set up slid show , i would love a dvd copy if possible.

  • Both well worth it. Beautiful, compact and easy to get around. If you go to Tas, make sure you are in Hobart on a Saturday and go to the Salamance Market (down by the Waterfront). Cary Lewincamp is often there playing live (usually up towards the city end). By freshly brewed coffee from the stall nearby and enjoy the music! :-)

  • Thank you, that was lovely!

Tasmania and New Zealand are two places I've always desired to see.

  • Its Cary Lewincamp, i think from his album in your nearness

  • I have been listening to this music and its just so inspiring and peaceful.

  • beautiful music, thank you.
