How to cast on using DPNs for hexipuffs for the Beekeeper's Quilt by tinyowlknits. Can also be used to cast on toe-up socks. There are several different cast-ons you could use, such as Judy's Magic Cast-on - this is just one.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you couldn't have done it without this video. Although quite an advanced knitter I had never used DPNs before and was struggling with the pattern which is quite vague to start with. Nearly finished my first ever hexipuff.

  • I've also never seen the long tail CO done this way. But it's for sure I'll give it a try.

Is there an advantage to the 'normal' ltCO?

  • I've never seen a long-tail cast on done that way, but I really like it. Any chance you'd do another video where you're doing it a bit slower please?

Also, love the dog chewing away in the background! Stellar!

  • Wonderful video! Thanks so much for it. I've never cast on with DPNs before and this was really helpful.

  • brilliant! I love the way you do your long tail cast-on. mesmerizing. I just started making the puffs a day or two ago, and this is super helpful!

  • Great video (Just bought the pattern, so it is helpful). I also enjoyed watching your little pup sneak into the camera view ;)

  • I have never seen the long tail cast-on done like you do. I really like it and will have to give it a go sometime soon.
