  • cool. how do you clean this tank? the gravel, how? wont you suck em up?

and do you feed them? and can they be with chinese algae eaters?

  • @AesirSovann

I use a Zoo Med mini canister filter with a sponge on the intake. I don't clean the substrate but just siphon some water out (40%) and refill it once or twice a week. I like the Mosura Shrirmp Foods, as well as green beans and other fresh vegetables. For the vegetables I always boil for a few minutes then cool before feeding. I don't know about Chinese algae eaters, I keep them by themselves.

  • do you breed the CRS? how? just put them in there then they will eventually breed?

  • @AesirSovann ,

I am raising a bunch of CRS, I started with a couple dozen that I purchased online as small juvenile shrimplets. These I grew up to adults and then, yes they naturally breed. After about 4 or 5 months new shrimplets became perpetual for me. Keeping the water clean and without any ammonia is very important. I am now just about ready to start selling my own CRS, probably starting next week.
