I think that ITV, despite all being one company now, ought to have kept the original identities for the regions. I'm sure central would work as a sort of hybrid of the BBC1 and channel 4 current idents.

Yes I agree with dual branding as well, but with the region having greater prominence over the network.

I quite like dual branding. Pure regional is good, but it sometimes does not have one mention of the network it is on. Nationalised is just crap, with it just saying ITV with no mention of the regions, but dual branding mainly consists on the region and its logo, and has the ITV logo to let you know what network it is.
They should bring back regional or dual.

Didn't Anglia also do this. What date did the ITV logo appear on this and Anglia's. I saw a bit of Anglia in June 1999 and there was no sign of the ITV logo on their idents>

This is how the 1999-2002 dual branding should have been implemented. Let each region carry on doing its own thing but link them together by displaying the ITV logo.
