It's called a fig beetle. We Have lots of them in southern California. They eat ripe figs, the larvae live and pupate in compost. If i'm not mistaken, it's also the largest scarab beetle in North America.

we have those kind of bugs in Mexico and like WeFinishTheFight said its fun tie a string around their leg or around its body under the wings

its just a june bug. there are black ones too. my dogs chase them in the back yard and try to eat them.

Here in S.California we call them June Bugs.
that is freaky looking!!!! you should google the description of it and find out what it is........ is it loud? like buzzing?

Its ajune bug, They are the bigger version of the japanese beetle, They stick their legs out right before flight, Its fun to tie a string around their leg and watch them fly around in circles.
