  • We grow Our peppers and tomatoes in buckets :D

I have a self watering container, and its cool. Its the same shape, but smaller, for herbs, and it has a reservoir under it so you cant over water your plants, if you do it drains and spills out the bottom, leaving only a small bit for the plants to suck up.

@ The new Food Safety Modernization Act will eventually outlaw private gardens.

I'll grow my veggies in the closet with a heat lamp then!

  • @ibcrootbeer1 I am going to have to look into that Act. I have heard about it a bit, and it sounds worrisome. I'm with you though, I'll just grown them inside if that happens! LOL

  • white up stunts your plants, no heat

  • @omegahpla They seem to do just fine, but then we live in a very hot climate, so it probably helped to have the white side up. :)

  • The new Food Safety Modernization Act will eventually outlaw private gardens. Soon only the giant multinational corporations will control all food and water.

Help raise awareness about this issue before it's too late!

  • earth box...blah. The cover holds moisture which attracts gnats. once the gnats r under the cover ur screw. Screw earthbox!

  • how deed it go with the harvest????

  • @AJQuinteiro OMG, what kind of conspiracy nonsense are you trying to propagate here. I mean, I certainly have no faith or TRUST in the gov't whatsoever, but to think that this could even be realistic--gimme a break.

  • @therealaimeeroo Look at the first laws passed in Iraq since we got control: having seeds:OUTLAWED!

It might be interesting to see what other laws they got to JAM down the Iraqis THROATS AT THE BARREL OF A GUN!

  • @therealaimeeroo - grow them inside IF you can still get seeds and plants. This Act took control of those, too....we were warning people about it for almost two years. We knew it was coming five years ago when we started working to stop the animal ID scheme....that was embedded in the food bill, too....so they got us big time with this one. The Dream Act, etc. were smoke screens for the food bill. And they worked very well.

  • @ccoasterdesigner They can be expensive, about $50 per kit. I only have 3, but it was cheaper than ripping out all my grass and having to fill garden boxes with dirt, compost, etc.

  • @Stormclouds777 They didn't seem to cross and make everything hot. Of course, they were all hot to start, except for the green peppers, which remained sweet.
