The tempo did seem a little fast at first, but it grew on me. Also the instrumentals remind me a lot of Ecco: The Tides of Time, one of my favorite Genesis games. Have you remixed/covered "The Ultimate Weapon"? That one is so underdone in the remixing community. D:

Nier was one of the most emotional games I've ever got to play and I trully loved it. The soundtracks were amazing, full of emotions and very deep. Your cover added a bit of joy to emils theme, which is pretty dramatic also. But I think yours fits better, since despite the tragic story of Emil, he was a character full of hope.

@Hissweeteartbug It is Nier Replicant (JPN Version), where you play the role of Yonah's big brother instead of her father. The story is relatively the same, so you are not missing out. From what I hear the father character fits the game better, anyway.

This song makes me think of emil trying to celebrate his birthday, but the residual sadness of the reality of his existence keeps him from being truly happy.
