Vaché and Mami's Armenian/Japanese wedding

Our good friend Vache who grew up in LA and lives in Shanghai China, married his long time Japanese girlfriend Mami, at St. Marry's Armenian Church in Glendale, CA on Jan. 30, 2009. One interesting note about Vache and Mami is that they communicate in English with one another but intend on speaking their native languages with any future kids that they have(dad in Armenian, mom in Japanese) , and of course Mandarin at school, perhaps English could be the 4th language...

Please don't use any derogatory words to refer to my wife's ethnicity. "Jap" was a racist term invented during WWII. Although it is true that should we have any children in the future, they will have mixed blood, one thing that's certain is that they WILL have an Armenian identity and will speak Armenian.
