Math Lesson - Adding Doubles

Students in Grade 1 have been learning different addition strategies. In this lesson, students are reviewing the use of doubles (and doubles plus 1) to help them add numbers. The routine in this grade 1 classroom is that the teacher meets with a different group each day while the others work independently on a related activity. These activities are differentiated for individual student needs, and include games, worksheets, flash cards, and hands on manipulatives.
