@McLarenMercedes You are 100% correct, McLaren. The Ppsh 41 was a robust, compact and very effecient smg. The tommy was heavy, had horrible recoil, the stock was set below the receiver which increased the muzzle lift even more and costly to produce. Most of the european issues tommies lacked the compensator. The mp 40 was cheap to make, a folding stock which made it idealy compact, the stock was in line with the receiver and blow back which greatly reduces recoil and had great control.

I have next to me my friend who is a scout sniper in the marines who did tours in Afghanistan (meaning he isn't an armchair general and has actually killed people with a damn sniper rifle). Sure, you zero it before combat, but the damn thing was in the tube since he hit the beach! My friend says that anytime you remount a scope you have to rezero, especially after storing it off rifle during combat. How's that bastard, is that ebough research for you?

As far as fighting, if you don't fight you go to a labor camp. His uncle refused and was s socialist and ended up dead in a camp. He hated the party, but had no choice in the matter. So what the fuck now? I am a proud American and if you think for a second that I wish the Nazis would have won WW2 then you're a tard.

Yeah, the Germans knew what they were doing. They were invading other countries in order to prevent those countries from attacking them. They were (in their mind) rightfully taking what was theirs. An interesting parallel can be drawn today when US soldiers are invading Iraq to prevent that country from becoming a "threat" (Iraq a poor country that couldn't even invade Iran back in the 80's) to them.

Germany invaded a lot more countries than those you mention.

If you want the weapon that killed more German soldiers than any other submachine gun look at the Ppsh41. More of them made than any other submachine gun during the entire war. Whereas Thompsons were only given to sergeants in the US army and comparatively few MP40's were used by the Germans, entire divisions of young men used the Ppsh41. So good in fact that the Germans used any they could get their hands on. It became the 3'rd most common weapon in the German army.

Oh, so a regular German soldier KNEW what they were doing? Perhaps you forget that they seriously thought they were fighing for the freedom and independence of Germany and the right not to be bullied by other countries. Incidientially exactly the same tired old cliches we hear from American troops today, invading some third world country for "freedom and safety for their country". Has anything changed today?

What victory? Why don't you read a few books written by historians and read where 80% of all German casaulties were? That's right the Eastern Front. Hollywood made you believe Germany lost the war in France in 1944. Jesus Fucking Christ. Thank the Soviet Union for destroying the majority of the German panzer forces and men.
