The Warlord Academy of Martial Arts, founded by Baltimore native Gerald Jackson, in conjunction with the YMCA of Central Maryland held its third annual Spirit of the Samurai Karate Tournament on Saturday June 13th at the YMCA located at 900 E. 33RD Street, Baltimore, MD. The event brought together over 100 competitors of male and female age groups ranging from 5-6 year old to 50 plus divisions. Participants traveled from the states of Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Washington, DC to compete in categories of Weapons, individual and synchronized Kata, Sparing, youth and senior Team Sparing, and Self Defense.
