John Carter hits theaters on March 9th 2012.

Cast: Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe, Mark Strong, Samantha Morton, Dominic West, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, Thomas Haden Church, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Ciaran Hinds

From Academy Award-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton comes "John Carter"-a sweeping action-adventure set on the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars).

"John Carter" is based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose highly imaginative adventures served as inspiration for many filmmakers, both past and present. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins).

In a world on the brink of collapse, Carter rediscovers his humanity when he realizes that the survival of Barsoom and its people rests in his hands.

  • Well I.ve never seen d' movei yet.,What will I say is notin..//

  • @Ralokone I guess

  • @SuperHeroMania no the theories are correct, the atmosphere factory just failed T _ T

  • @jiopa He does respect his bosses though, he was at pixar and pixar held the rights to John Carter, so when disney sucked up those rights Andrew Stanton offered himself up, it is clear he wanted to do the project before disney had the license.

He has also seemingly taken the blame for some for disneys missteps such as removing mars from the title, he also didnt want it 3D and refused to shoot the movie digitally using film!

at the very least he tried from the sound of it, so thats cool!

  • @Ralokone The director fighting the studio is usually a good sign. I just love it when someone who actually knows what they're doing stands up to corporate pricks. :))

  • @dinocro111 its a trailer, of a trailer!

  • @LobsterPotsticker its described as being blue in the books, cant argue with the books!
