I'm a cheap guy with wavy long blond hair that is VERY SNARLY. I can barely get an Afro pick through it in the shower even after I condition it. I'm not willing to buy expensive brand name salon shampoo. I use a Suave knock-off of "Matrix" called "Suave Sleek." Is this the best low-budget anti-snarl shampoo and conditioner that I can buy?
keep in mind, i am not a doctor. i'm not saying any of that is true. this is just what i have gathered from my own research on others' experience.
i've heard from some people that they didn't have issues with it while others had it bad. everyone's body is different & the surgery can have different side effects.
for me, although i haven't gone through it yet, i have rather thick hair. some say it may not be that bad for me because if i lose hair, it won't be that noticeable.
i'm still pre-op, but i have hear that protein level also has a lot to do with hair loss. after a lot of major surgeries your body can go into some sort of shock & hair can be affected by that. keep in mind since the post-ops of WLS have such an extreme diet, the body & brain may think it's in some sort of crisis & feel malnourished. usually when that happens, your body will use whatever it gets on the most important things like vital organs so hair is the last thing it wants to keep lookin good
so how often should i wash with the nioxin? i live in fl with hot weather and have color treated curly hair?

My friend uses Niox-en. She said it works great. You sound and look like your mom. : )
