A documentary film about the Roosevelt Island Tram that links Manhattan with Roosevelt Island. It was produced as a filmaking project at NYIT. The film includes a ride on the tram and an interview with a resident of Roosevelt Island, Mrs. Bonnie Waldman. It is cut to the Weather Report recording of "Birdland" on the "Heavy Weather" album. The film has gone through several generations.
It is an mpeg conversion of a DVD copy of a 3/4" U-matic, front screen projection recording, of the original 16mm footage that went through the camera. It's a minor miracle that anything is left. :-)
Glad you like it. It was a group project in a film production course at NYIT, Old Westbury 30 years ago.
