@saxgroovez I agree with you.If you want to hear a great tenor sax solo in latin jazz listen to the late Chombo Silva and the late and underapreciate Mario Rivera.David phrasing is more straight jazz.
@YZDT I think you are mistaken in respect to Eddie Gomez.He was born in Santurce,Puerto Rico and moved to NY very young.He played with Bill Evans for many years starting in 1966.Maybe you are refering to Tito Gomez who was the singer for Orquesta Riverside in Cuba for many years .
