  • Mr Wink was one of my favorite characters/creatures from the film, I wish more sci-fi/fantasy films had monstes like him in them, thanks for Wink Guillermo Del Toro

  • Is it just a coincidence that both of Brian Steele's best known monsters are called Mr. Wink (Hellboy 2) and Mr. Black (Predators)

  • Wow - this is some of the best animatronic monster work I've seen! In fact i'd even go as far as to say it's nearly as good as CGI - (well, maybe circa 1997-98 CGI, let's not go nuts here).

  • no offence but it looked fake in the movie..my opinion

  • @VeryHappyUniverse

I was impressed as well, it was a really big suit to work with. I was in charge of all the suiting-up for that costume and making the mouth and body look real and slimey.

  • @Docjava3 I saw you! Man that would have been an awesome experience being behind the scenes on that movie. When I saw Wink for the first time it was one of those moments where I had no idea how they made it. It could have been CG a motorised puppet. I never thought it would be an actual guy in a suit. Was it kind of scary seeing these big reasistic monsters everywhere?

  • @Docjava3 Cool. Are their any other movies you have worked on?

  • Brian Steele is awesome. I love that he's made a career out of being "the guy in the big monster suit." Wink was amazing, and as far as realism goes, he can easily go toe-to-toe with CGI masterpieces like Davey Jones.

  • There should be more film directors like him. Have you heard that Brian Steele is playing a "Black Super Predator" in the Predators Reboot? If he can pull off "Wink" so amazingly. Then playing a Predator will be quite astounding.
