Activist Debra Sweet, the Executive Director of the "World Can't Wait: Drive Out the Bush Regime," was one of the keynote speakers at an antiwar rally in Lafayette Park, opposite the White House, on May 14, 2007. She said that it is long past the time to "drive the war criminals, Bush and Cheney, out...and to end the immoral and unjust Iraq War." Later in the afternoon, after the protesters paraded to the U.S. Capitol, thirty-three of them, led by Peace Mom, Cindy Sheehan, were arrested for failing to obey a police order to disperse.
