NYTimes.com - An imaginative restaging of "Satyagraha," a Philip Glass opera about the early life of Gandhi, which has a premiere at the Met on April 11.
I saw this at the MET and was the most mesmerizing thing I ever experienced. I hope one day they bring this back. When he did the ba, ba, ba, ba ,,,, forever it totally blew my mind.
me too....saw it March 18th - was nervous about a Glass opera but my eyes, ears and intellect was opened - taking risks with music works for me - I loved it.
wow. So it´s a must. thnks.

@sirmercutio99 It's supposed to return at the Met around November 2011 and will certainly be in HD...so I guess there will be a DVD sometime later

“Taking risks”? Hahaha, don’t make me laugh. What risk is there in watching an opera?
